Area-Delay Optimization

§  Designing a 10-bit carry-select adder with the minimum area-delay product using Cadance.

Digital Signal Processing

§  Designing and employing a musical chorus, reverb, and echo effect via TI DSP to implement A/D and D/A conversion, digital filtering, FFT.

§  Real-time implementation of sinusoidal oscillators, triangular and square wave generation.

FPGA Programming

§  Designed a stopwatch using Xilinx ISE and then programmed the circuit onto the FPGA (7-segment LED)

§  Using a finite state machine to implement a traffic light controller that controls a main street, a

side street and walk lamps.

§  Linear encoding analog signal to compounded floating point translation

§  Devised and programmed a “slot-machine” onto FPGA board

Spam Filter

§  Designing a Bayesian Filter - Designing a spam filter for email services.  C++ was used for developing the algorithms and Matlab for demonstration in graph form.

Systems and Signals

§   Demonstrating the applications of Systems and Signals in speech synthesis

§  A vibration in the vocal fold in the form of a periodic pulse train goes into the system, and a speech signal is output.

§  Utilized Matlab and Pspice as a computational tool in systems and signals analysis by verification of the analytical and graphical results
